Disney springs has the best parking! Lots of fantastic shopping and eating options! I don't like the security check point though. It's slow and disorganized. I used to go a lot more to Disney springs before they set up that security check point.
All the lights at Disney are neat. I really like it how you can just look down the road as you drive by and they have little green and red lights on each parking spot. Obviously the green means the space is open and you can park down there and the red, well you can figure that out.
Nice that they have numbers showing you if there are open spots in a parking aisle. And, they have green/red lights above each spot letting you know where the open spaces are.
Don't come here before 5pm, it's an employee parking lot before then, and security won't let you cross the bridge into DisneySprings
They should let guests park in grapefruit garage and the cast members park in the lime garage. So unfare to all cast members.
This is, partially, employee parking for Disney springs. Pretty great, as far as parking decks go. Lights and numbers to let you know where parking is. Ample space. Clearly marked. Cool breezeway leading to the springs. Well done.
Rudest parking attendant/security person ever. According to other reviews, there are signs saying this lot is reserved for cast/staff members until 3:30. However, with most of your patrons being out of town and lost already, they need to be bigger or stated as closed until a certain time on maps like Google Maps that announce stores are closed as you drive to it so that you know ahead of time before you arrive.
We unpacked the car and walked the whole way to the bridge and the lady held up her hand to stop us and then pointed to a sign. She waited for us to read it. It basically said "Cast members entrance. Have your ID badges ready." So we asked if that meant the bridge was closed to the public totally. She pointed to the sign and then said, "Yes. Go park in the Orange garage. This is for workers only."
This garage is the exact opposite side of Disney Springs. We asked her if there was an alternate way to get across here and she said "Go to the Orange lot. You can't cross here." Like, I hear you lady. I'm just asking if there's an alternative that's a bit closer to this side of Disney Springs. We talked to each other and said we could drive to Lime lot across the street and she jumped in saying, "It's full. I'm just trying to help you." So we asked again what the best way to get to this side of Disney Springs was since we were here earlier in the week and we're able to use this entrance and she said the bridge opens up at 3:30 and we must have come after 3:30 last time.
We opted to stay and have the kids run around the huge sidewalk on the edge of the parking lot, go up and down the elevators and escalators, and kill time until 3:30 since we unpacked all the kids and stuff. A couple of other families showed up while we were waiting, too, so I am sure this happens a lot. It is our fault for missing the signs, but they could be more prevalent (like directly on the signs where parking numbers are listed or on the garage itself as you drive under it), especially as this is a permanent thing. The attendant could also have been nicer in relaying the message to us.
Missed the sign that said no parking for visitors until 3:30 and my sister and mother in a wheelchair waited by two security personnel for several minutes while I parked the car and neither of them mentioned the restriction until we all tried to cross. It was exactly 3:00. They told us to go find a place to sit and wait an aributrary 30 minutes just to pass over.
Didn't help the matter that the female looked like she was enjoying the chance to go on a power trip. It was my fault for missing the first road sign but frankly they need more than two signs to display this information.
